 JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Job title             :       Store/Senior Store Manager

Store                :       Parkson Saigon Tourist Plaza

Department       :       Store Operations

Reports to         :       Operations Manager


SUMMARY

Be responsible for all store activities including:  (1) operations, (2) administration, (3) manpower planning, (4) rules and regulations, (5) sales and profits.

 

RELATIONS

Report to   : Operations Manager

Internal     : All Parkson’s staffs.

External    : Customers, promoters, counter managers, suppliers.

Supervises : Store staffs.

 

KEY DUTIES

1. Operations

 

-        Ensure the store day to day operations is ready for business (daily store check lists).

-        Ensure all company properties are in serviceable condition.

-        Monitor stock levels and its movement to minimize “out of stock” situation but to maximize sales.

-        Set up and monitor all working procedures in order to provide and maintain good customer services to customers.

-        Attend to customer complains wherever necessary and take appropriate steps to solve such complains promptly.

-        Plan and approve repeat buys according to the company policies and guidelines.

-        Plan and conduct market survey in order to assess own competitiveness.

-        Build and maintain good relationship with business associates, suppliers, government authorities, head office departments, customers and staffs to facilitate smooth day to day store operations and enhance good corporate and store image.

-        Ensure reports, invoices are timely submission to HQ for onward processing.

-        Plan and monitor the manpower requirement and take necessary steps to fulfill the requirement to ensure good customer service is provided.

-        Ensure high standard of house keeping in store.

-        Hold regular meetings and discussion with staff to review performance and process of the store and inform staff about company policies, plans, directions.

 

Requirements: Store operations are smoothly run with effective, profitable result.

 

2. Administration

 

- Ensure all store accounting manual and procedure are being complied.

- Approve and authorize all relevant documentation for submission to HO Account.

- Ensure timely submission of document   being submitted within the deadline.

 

3. Manpower Planning and development

 

-        Motivate and develop staff in order to encourage their professional development.

-        Create and maintain an open working environment to all staffs.

-        Train and supervise all levels of store staffs, providing product knowledge advice and guidance with the aim to develop a knowledgeable and efficient workforce.

-        Evaluate staff performance and make appropriate fair recommendations for promotions or disciplinary actions when necessary.

-        Build team work spirit among the staff.

-        Handle staff’s grievances and complains from internal and external customers.

 

Requirements:  Efficient leadership, comfortable “open door” working environment. Staffs performances meet the requirements.

 

4. Rules and Regulations

 

-        Ensure all working procedures, the company’s policies, rules and regulations applied in the store are in accordance with the law and strictly followed by staffs, promoters, security guards.

-        Maintain safe working conditions for employees and customers; Solve safety concerns quickly.

 

5. Sales and profits

 

-        Analyze store management performance reports and recommend necessary actions for improvements.

-        Work towards achieving the sales target set by the management.

-        Maintain controllable expenses within the budget set for the store.

-        Responsible for Profit and loss of the store.

-        Control shrinkage level within the budget 

 

6. Other duties

 

-         Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

 

-         30 years old or above

-         Graduated University

-         Be able to work at shift

-         Good health.

-         Two years experience in retail store management.

-         English ability: Fluency

-         Demonstrated ability to build effective teams and motivate employees.

-         Strong initiative and leadership skills.

-         Knowledge of retail background would be advantage.

-         Basic computer knowledge.

-         Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

-         Good problem solving skills.

-         Ability to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs and changes in strategies.
